A new mother's loving face. I looked over just in time to see Mommy adoring her three beautiful babies during our session. So sweet.
Please stop by Kelsey Anderson | Las Vegas Wedding Photographer to see her face photo this week and then follow the circle around to see what the rest of the group did. Have a great weekend! xoxo

I couldn't wait to meet these sisters. They were born a bit early and Mom and Dad weren't sure if they were going to do a session. When I got the call that they were home and they wanted to go ahead with it I was really excited. One - that I get to meet them and play with them all day and two I couldn't beleive that they were already home and so healthy. What a blessing! They were so teeny tiny. I had to make some emergency headbands for them the night before because I knew that none of my newborn headbands would fit. I put them all in my baby scale and the total weight was 15lbs. They were all so good for me too. I will say that triplets is definitely not a one man show. There was no way on the planet I could have posed them then backed away without help from my new friend and fellow photog Jovana and also their Mommy was always at the ready with a helping hand. The day was 6 hours, 3x my normal newborn session. Go figure. lol! I hope I get to see this family again, so sweet, and so blessed.

Miss Sophia came to visit me from a long way away, with her beautiful family on Monday. At first she really wasn't into our time together. She'd had a long night of no sleep and made Mom worry how the session would go. I admit I was a little worried too. But then we fed her, and soothed her, and OUT she went. She did a great job sleeping and looking beautiful so that I could capture these tiny moments of her new life. I can't wait until Mom and Dad get to see the rest but for now here is a little sneak peek. Thank you B family for coming to my neck of the woods and trusting me to capture this wonderful time in your lives! Talk to you soon! xoxo

A Night in The Life....
On Wednesday night I came home from the gym (TRX baby!) and felt sick. I had to go lay down to try and soothe my achey tummy. That's when I remembered I had to take my pics for the project. So I decided to show you a glimpse of what you would see if you were peering through the window of the Mitchell home on Wednesday, Oct. 19th. I couldn't make dinner and the kids were all hungry so Chris gave them cereal while they watched Yo Gabba Gabba. My nephew layed on my bed playing connect the dots on my phone. The dog looked at me in wonder. The Runner's World magazine and lotto tickets lay on my counter along with a remnant of burnt crown that must have been on an old oil lamp that was salvaged from my Grandma's house fire. By the way, Ryan Hall, who is a famous marathoner is from Big Bear and is in that mag four times! Run, Ryan, Run! And that's about it.... a night in the life of us.

Our favorite pumpkin patch is just down the mountain, set against the hillside and tucked away in a quaint little neighborhood. It's quiet and friendly and feels like home. You could literally bring a book, sit on a haystack and they would welcome you like an old friend. There is fresh honey, squash, and as many pumpkins to choose from as you would ever need. The air is thick with the smell of Fall and... well, farm animals too. :) My kiddos love going here and I love caputuring them making the memories they'll someday cherish. We told Ava that she could have as big a pumpkin as she could carry and of course she went and found the biggest pumpkin and gave it a try. Connor loved the horseback ride more then anything which was a big deal for him since he really doesn't care much for animals. And I learned that taking a family photo with the timer and my camera set up on a wheelbarrow just isn't easy. But I got an imperfect one, that is perfectly us. If you have never been and live close enough, you've got to check out Greenspot Farms on Hwy. 38. It's beautiful!
