You CAN mix work and play... {Big Bear Lake Arrowhead Photography}

I've been working a lot lately and my kids are starting to remind me of that. At first they are really good about letting me work but when it gets to the point that I have to peel them off my chair it's time to take a break. We've had my nieces and nephews over lately too so I notice my little Ava needing some extra attention. So this afternoon the two of us went out on a mini "Mommy date". I needed to take some photos for an Etsy shop so we went to one of our favorite little places and enjoyed the time together. Afterwards I put the camera away and we played on the perfect little tire swing. There was no one in the land but us. Those times are so perfect.

Michael and Erika {Joined} Big Bear Lake Arrowhead Wedding Photography

This wedding just so beautiful and thoughtful. The family and wedding party stayed in a sprawling luxurious ranch together the few days before the wedding. And they worked on details and enjoyed much fellowship together. What was so apparent at this wedding was love. Lots of it. Love for eachother and love for the Lord. Prayer was a big part of their day, and it was beautiful seeing them give Glory to God and ask Him for His leading in their marriage. Just beautiful. There were so many details about their day that made it so exquisite. I was so happy to be a part of it. Mike and Erika, thank you for choosing me! I hope that you cherish your photos as much as I loved taking them. May God bless each day that you have together and grow your love for eachother and for Him. Fifty Two on Fridays {Week 39} Beauty

The foremost picture of beauty for me this week is a beautiful Bride that I photographed recently. I've been working on her wedding dilligently for days now so nothing is more fitting then this photo of her in the mountain light, on the day of her wedding. What struck me most about her was that she was not only beautiful on the outside but also on the inside. I can't wait to post more of her wedding later today! xoxo

Fifty Two on Fridays {Week 38} Ruffles

Repurposed Ruffles! I love making my daughter clothes and finally figured out that I could actually use her small clothes for making new stuff. I loved the soft netting material of this Baby LuLu dress and didn't want to part with it so instead I chopped it up and made a whole new set. I put the buttons from the dress as well as some of the ruffling on a plain white tank top from Old Navy, cut and folded the body of the dress over, put in some elastic and voila! Repurposed ruffles, so fun!

and here is it's new life, happily adorning a spunky four year old....

and this is because it's just so her, this child can sing the abc's in every which way imaginable. All. Day. Long. And I love it!
