365/9/10

The last few days have been so busy so I've found it hard to take a photo. BUT..I have to give myself some wiggle room with having 3 kids and a busy photography business so when there are busier times I thought it would be fun to dig up some older photos to use. Kind of like the old saying "make new friends but keep the old"...."take new pics but remember the old"...these are both never seen before...

This is one of my favorite "behind the scenes" photos and I do have alot of them. Here Daddy is sweetly caressing and loving his baby girls to help me get the shot. It's just such a sweet capture. We never were able to get this shot however. The girls just really wanted their Daddy in this one.

This is my first family session ever and they were taken on my D40. This is a friend from way back in Jr. High and we hadn't seen eachother since then. She was brave enough to let me practice on her family and it turned out really well. These were some that we thought would be fun at the end of the session. She's such a fun person and the kids are so cool that these are totally fitting for their family...

365/8

Today I am the mom of a 6 year old. My first child, my little boy. The one who made me a mother after all the tears and heartache and waiting. The little guy who made my dream of being a mommy come true. I could not have imagined the joy that this kid would bring. The laughs and personality he offers are endless. Yesterday was last time he looked at me as a five year old and today marks a whole new year of getting to know him as he grows and being a part of all his adventures. He is amazingly musical and this morning I caught him practicing with his guitar all on his own. Happy Birthday Connor!

365 day 7

I'm so thankful. So so so very thankful...that she is mine. I could not have asked for a more perfect daughter. It's a miracle that she is ours. The road to her was long and wet with tears. There were moments we doubted, moments of great faith, and moments of immense growth in ourselves and the power of God. She. Is. Mine.

365 - I'm keeping up WOot!

Day 6 - I'm so so thankful for a new Bible study about the book of Daniel - I can't wait to dive in and grow. And that each and every morning my husband makes me a quad latte that would make Starbuck's jealous.

Day 5 - In a hard year I was blessed by a friend. She lives in Norway and we met through a mutual interest in baby wearing. She is very talented mama! We have been writing eachother for about a year and a half now and everytime I get an email from her my heart smiles huge. We exchange Christmas gifts because we want to, because it's fun and we have grown to love eachother. This year she has knit us all a pair of socks and mittens! She even made Ave the most beautiful sweater with metal clasps! She just warms my heart and I can't tell you in as many words how thankful I am for her and her genuine heart. I love you Carina!!!
Ps. Can I just say how hard it was to line their feet up next to mine! Gosh you would have thought I asked them to build me a house with a spoon! I'm not. even. kidding. LOL!

365 - Playing catch up!

This will start off my 365 days of Thankfulness! I'm excited and hope that I can actually carry through the whole year!

Day 1 - I'm thankful for a little girl who looks out the window in excitement to see if Daddy is home yet.

Day 2 - I'm thankful for a little boy who looks at the world like his playground...and that I get to be the one to tell him that his shoes are on the wrong feet! LOL!

Day 3 - I'm thankful for a man who cares more about the good of the child then what others will think about him...he isn't afraid to wear a baby. :)

Day 4 - I'm thankful for genuine and loving Grandparents who give such a true love that my kids flock to them even though they see them but once or twice a year.

My little guy had one request...one specific request for Christmas. He wanted the "boxing robots". Last night there was a box on our doorstep from Grandma...inside...among the other wonderful little gifts she thoughtfully gave were the Sock em' Bop em' robots. I sooooo remember these when I was little. Hopefully it will give some of you a blast from the past!

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to meet brand new baby "R". She loved me so much that she wanted me to come back. Man they know how to get what they want from life right out of the womb. Smart little girl! LOL! I really enjoyed meeting her parents and am glad that I got to get to know them a little better at our second session. Here are few from the second time around! Enjoy!

This one made my eyes well up. Daddy was so genuinely happy to be right there with his new baby girl in that moment. Tear Jerker!
